Who we are
InsurConnect is a digital directory. We are not an insurance agency or producer. We do not solicit, negotiate, or sell insurance. All call routing and contact services are provided for consumer convenience and do not constitute a recommendation of any agency or policy. Final rates, coverage, and terms are offered exclusively by the licensed agency you choose.
What happens to information you submit
When you submit a contact request through InsurConnect, your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, and product interest are shared with the insurance agency or agencies you specifically select in the request form. We do NOT share your information with agencies you did not select, nor do we sell or rent contact information to third parties unrelated to the request you submitted.
InsurConnect operates as a consumer-directed directory and connection service. Lead routing is initiated by the consumer; we do not solicit or independently market insurance products.
Texas Business & Commerce Code Ch. 305 / SB 140 (eff. 2025-09-01)
Texas's lead-vendor statute requires third-party lead vendorsto register with the Texas Secretary of State and pay a $200 fee, with limited exemptions for licensed insurance agents. InsurConnect's position depends on the operating posture above:
- Referral / directory posture (current default): InsurConnect provides consumer-initiated connection services. Contact requests are routed only to agencies the consumer explicitly selects. We do not solicit, broker, or sell insurance products.
- Licensed agency posture (future, requires an active Texas Business Entity License): InsurConnect acts as a Texas-licensed insurance agency. Lead routing is subject to Texas Department of Insurance advertising and consumer-protection rules in addition to general consumer-protection statutes.
In either posture, the following baseline TX rules apply:
- Prominent disclosure (28 TAC §21.121): every contact-request form on this site discloses that an insurance agency or agent may contact you about your inquiry. The exact disclosure text is shown above the consent button and snapshotted into our consent-event log.
- First-contact rule: agents who receive your information via InsurConnect are required to disclose, within 30 seconds of their first call, that they received your name through a lead service.
- Documentation: every contact request we process is recorded with the timestamp, your IP address, user agent, and the exact disclosure text you saw. This record is preserved indefinitely.
- Revocation: you may stop further contact at any time by texting STOP to any SMS, clicking the preferences link in any email we send, or using the one-click unsubscribe header that Gmail and Apple Mail surface automatically.
Paid placement
Some agencies listed on InsurConnect pay a fee for enhanced placement or to receive leads from this directory; others are listed for directory purposes only. Paid placement does not impact the accuracy of license data displayed, the rates an agency offers, or your ability to choose any agency in your area.
Filing a complaint
If you believe an agency contacted you improperly, you can file a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance at tdi.texas.gov/consumer/complfrm.html or by calling 1-800-252-3439.
